Wal-Mart "Stressing" Adherence to RFID Tagging Policy
If you didn’t think it was a Wal-Mart World and all of us just live in it, here’s further
evidence of that. Beginning in January, the company is “stressing” to their suppliers that they must adhere
to their approach of using RFID tags on shipments. According to Wal-Mart, 200 suppliers are due to begin tagging
shipments in addition to their 100 top suppliers, who began tagging earlier this year along with a number of other
smaller suppliers who have voluntarily launched RFID initiatives.
