
Michael Powell announced his resignation as Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission today. "Having completed
a bold and aggressive agenda, it is time for me to pursue other opportunities and let someone else take the reins of
the agency," said Powell in a published
statement (PDF). He noted his
accomplishments (PDF) during the last
four years and said he will step down sometime in March 2005.
